The Digital North Sea is a centralised portal that will provide the visualisation for all assets and facilities and allow projections and historical data to be held and timelined.
It will both define and host inventories, and show age, status, condition, criticality and risk.
The portal can be used to both develop comparative assessments and allow the supply chain to access accurate information ahead of tendering. These inventory dispositions can be developed promoting the opportunity for re-use.
GIS will be used as the main interface of the portal, providing an overarching view of each client’s facilities. Individual facility data (3D parametric models, documents, etc.) is linked to and accessible from the GIS interface and will be used to provide an overview of various metrics about the facilities. This will provide the client with an accurate and up to date view of their facilities, and support the client’s decision making processes, particularly for decommissioning.
Scopes of work can also be packaged together with standard procedures and certification to validate the same.
Each facility’s digital copy will host all the attributes for weight, structure and materials in addition to a document control module.
